Exterior Screen Openness Factor available: 80, 90, 95, and Clear Plastic Vinyl. The greater the factor, the greater the light filtering. Insect screens and pet resistant screens are also available.
Fabrics
Many different colors, styles, and weights are available in exterior screen fabrics designed by multiple manufacturers, such as Phifer, Twitchell, Mermet, Serge Ferrari, etc. Additionally, we have provided enclosures using Clear (or tinted) Vinyl, with or without a Weblon border. Most fabrics are mildew and fade resistant.

The higher the weight, the tighter the meshing, and the more solid the appearance of the fabric. We can do most custom colors from many different manufacturers.

Home Automation Interface
Storm Shutters and Shades® home automation interface extends the functionality of professional home automation systems (Control4, Crestron, etc) for wireless control of our motors and electronics.
Use advanced voice commands, apps, and custom scenes for truly smart control of shades, shutters, screens and more!
It is a virtual wireless transmitter that is controlled by RS232/RS485 serial commands sent from a home automation system. This can be used to control up to 16 individual motors using one interface box. Up to 99 interface boxes can be daisy-chained together to accommodate any size application

The hood housing units and sidetracks were designed to be interchangeable allowing you to further customize your install to complement, not obstruct your structure’s existing design. This impact-rated hood was designed based on our standard impact-rated hoods, allowing screen units to be used in conjunction with hurricane shutters giving a unified look throughout.

The recessed bracket system designed my Storm Shutters and Shades® allows you to completely recess your entire system, making it virtually disappear when not in use.
